4 Months

Oh how the time is flying by!
Four Months. I can't believe it.

Our 4 month pics went better than her 3 months. It probably had a little something to do with timing. This time I waited until AFTER her morning nap instead of right before :)

The little stinker is such a smiley little baby, but when I am trying to take her picture she refuses to smile! It could be she can't see my face! She hears me but all she sees is a camera and a big flash! :)

I had Parker stand next to me and talk to her and that did the trick!
Have you noticed what is the same in every picture?
She LOVES her fingers! She is always playing with them! Not to mention the front of her shirt is always sopping wet with drool!

Out of all the pictures I took I did get one or two without a hand in her mouth:

And what's a photo shoot with out the other two always wanting to join in?

I made Taylor hold her hand out of her mouth! Don't you love Parker's face! hahha

After I was done with Paige I let Parker jump in-

And Taylor had to also-even though she is 1 day post surgery

Not much has changed since I last wrote about her. Maybe in a month I can add to the list :)

Minus 2

On Feb. 9th Taylor let me pull out her second baby tooth.

I can not believe she is old enough to be losing teeth!
She is (as expected) a little drama queen over the whole ordeal, but she sure is excited to wake up to find the tooth fairy had made a visit!

I am a little sad how her 'losing teeth' happens. She doesn't have the typical 'gap' that you would expect. Instead her other tooth grows in BEHIND her baby tooth (kind of creepy for a while!) then moves forward to a normal position once her baby tooth is out.

Looks like she never lost a tooth. I always want to sing the "All I want for Christmas" in a toothless lisp to her, but it's just silly when she never really has that issue...... :)

{18 Months}

Last Friday, Parker turned 18 months. Which "officially" put him in Nursery! Yay!
He has gone in a few weeks before, but Sunday he was 'legal' :)

He is getting so big. He only says a hand full of words, but he will let you know if he needs something, if Taylor is pestering him, where he is hurt, and if he is HUNGRY! :)

Seriously, this kid makes me laugh when it comes to food. If you ask him if he is hungry (and if he is) he will stop in his tracks of what he is doing, and RUN to the high chair. Then he will continue to shake the tray until you catch up and put him in.
No joke.

He is such an easy kid, but lately tantrums are kicking in and he is starting to spend a little time out time. You barely get after him and he will adjust his attitude or stop doing what he is doing. Or cry. He is so tender hearted.

He doesn't like to share Mom. I spend alot of my time with two little ones fighting over who gets to sit on my lap. Or gets a little more of my attention.

If the camera is in hand and you tell him to say cheese. He stops, looks right at you, smiles and (tries) to say cheese. So cute.

Since he got his ear tubes, he has yet to get another infection. Well worth the money for the tubes!

LOVES his pacifier and blanket. I had mentally told myself that at 18 months we will get rid of the pacifier. I still have that plan, but Taylor and I are going to Utah this weekend leaving him behind with Dad/Grandma. It's not fair to them to have to put up with a little one going through Paci-withdrawals so it will be put off a week. Or two. :)

{HUGE} tease. He knows exactly what buttons to push on Taylor and what toys to touch to make her freak out! He laughs the entire time she is screaming. Then after a little while gives them back to her and runs off to find some more trouble to get into. Her blanket has a huge bulls eye on it in his mind.

A little too fearless. He runs towards water, flops around on our bed regardless if he is close to the edge, runs from you and grabs at any and everything in his path....he laughs. At least we have him taught to turn around on stairs and to get off the couch. Nothing letting him fall down a few stairs didn't cure. :) I also let him run into the cold water the other day, he didn't like it. And didn't go back into it after that :)

He is constantly trying to ride this little puppy. One day he will realize he is just a little too big for it. Or he will break it. What ever comes first.

He may be a little stinker sometimes, but we sure do love him!

Nothing like adding a little spice into our lives right?!?!?

First Day of Swimming Lessons

For the next two weeks we can be found at the pool. At least in the mornings.

Today was Taylor's first day of lessons. She was so excited to go 'swimmin' and that her cousin Ashee (what she calls Ashton) was in her class.

She climbed right in the pool and started her lessons without a second thought.
Five seconds later they are playing "Motor boat."
Near the end of the song as they are blowing bubbles and still going in circles, Taylor is drowning.

Serious.

There are probably 6 or 7 kids in her class. Her being the only girl, youngest and barely tall enough. She is getting pulled under by all the little boys. Myself, my Mom, and Tara (my sisters friend) are all sitting across the pool watching my little girl try over and over to stand up and get her head out of the water. Finally the teacher realizes what is happening and grabs her.

Taylor is done. As soon as her head is above water she is asking for me and climbing out of the pool. I don't blame her.
But I paid for these classes and I just kneel by the side of the pool and make her stay in. She had brought her little Belle and Jasmin dolls so I get those for her to play with and after a few minutes she is okay.

Hopefully tomorrow she doesn't keep reminding me over and over again that the water was going into her belly and she will keep doing what the teacher asks her to do! :)

Ears Pierced

When Troy and I first found out we were having a little girl the 'ears getting pierced' came up. We both decided and agreed that she will be older...like 6 or 7.

Well, lately I have REALLY REALLY wanted to get her ears pierced. Tuesday when we were getting our hair cut, I asked about it. They only had one gun at the time.
No go. I KNEW that once they pierced one ear, she wouldn't let them do the other side so it had to be done at the same time.

Yesterday while at Wal-mart with Melissa, I decided to ask them about it. We had to wait a while to get another person around that was certified to pierce ears, but they were able to do it at the same time.

While we were waiting we prepared Taylor. Melissa took her around the jewelry dept. and they picked out an Ariel necklace ring set (for being a 'big brave' girl) and she was able to choose who's lap she wanted to sit on.

Mine or Melissa's.
She chose Melissa.

As they were counting 1.....2.....3....
I prepared myself and my eyes started to water knowing what was about to come out of her mouth.

Nothing.

Not even a flinch! When they were done she looked at me and just smiled!

WOW! Wasn't expecting that!!!

Pictures aren't the best, but it shows her true side....cheeser.

Later that night at Mom's surprise party she was playing outside and a missed baseball bounced up and hit her in the mouth.

I heard about it the rest of the night and the tears were flowing like crazy!

I never know what to expect with her.

New Car Seat

Taylor has outgrown her car seat. She is tall for her age that her head was inches above the headrest on her old seat.

We went out this afternoon in search of a new one.

I let her pick it out.

This is what we left with.....

Yes, it's VERY pink.
But the entire drive home she kept telling me over and over how much she liked her new chair.

"I cool Tay Tay!"

Yes, Taylor. You are cool.

{FOUR}

Click to enlarge picture and get the 'full effect!' Gross.....

That is the number of stitches little man Parker T had to get this morning.

They strapped him to the board....He screamed, Mom cried {alot}.

Playing with Taylor's little pink and purple princess bike will never be the same when the memories of hitting his eye on the fallen bike (handle bar is the culprit) and seeing Dr. Hanson at church.

Poor kid. He's sleeping like a baby now.

To determine if stitches were needed, a call to my sister was made...pictures taken and e-mailed to confirm my fear. I love technology. :) I also love that she has three older BOYS that she has spent many hours in the emergency room with AND she's my go-to person with advise about kids, car seats, kid gear, rashes, colds etc. Thanks Melissa!

Pics of 'after' will come when he is awake and a little happier.

Baby Boy's First Official haircut

Last Saturday (16th) Parker received his first official haircut at a Salon.

The back of his hair was getting so long that after naps or sitting in the carseat for too long, it would become a ratty mess.

He did great in the seat! He did sit on my lap eating a sucker the whole time, but he let the lady snip away.

He was {strongly!} against the clippers, so it was strictly a scissor cut process. It really made him turn into a big boy! :)

A New Milestone

Both of my children figured out they could stand up and walk with the help of something to push.....both using the exact item.

A small chair at church.

I had tried before getting him to walk pushing one of the toys we bought for that very purpose, but he showed no interest.

Until he found the little chair this past Sunday.

We came home and he's been practicing since. :)

Yes, we have folding chairs in our living room....Troy was in charge of SED on Sunday...at our house. So they are still leaning against the wall where the mattress had been leaning since February. Which I only let Troy have the meeting at our house if he gets that blasted mattress out of my living room, I mean the ENTIRE HOUSE! (For Parker's b-day party we moved it into our room and then back to the living room when all the guests were gone! ERRRRRR I hated that thing there, but couldn't move, load/unload by myself!!)

Words

I can't believe in 10 DAYS Little Parker will be turning One!

He babbles all the time but so far here are his 'talking to you' words.....in order of him speaking them

*Dada
*Tay (Taylor)
*Mama (Uses this one ALOT especially nap/bed time, when hurt, running for cover from his sister, hungry for food and not his milk)
*baba

And a new one as of yesterday:

*Papa.

We went to visit my parents yesterday afternoon and after 20 short minutes of being there and hearing Taylor talking to "Papa" he picked it up and now says it.

Before we know it he will be speaking full sentences to us.

Making Her Mark

I have been working with Taylor on writing her name.

So far we have "T" down to a t (lol) the "a" needs some work....but it's coming.
She LOVES writing her T's....they are {everywhere}. My church binder has a T on every page as does every other piece of paper, coloring book page, and all the magna doodle faces!

She figured out that she can turn an "A" to a smiley.....

She's growing up so fast!

More Deja Vu Pics.....

Melissa gave this little table to Taylor for her first Christmas.....

{CRAZY} to see my baby boy old enough to be standing at it playing with it......

Both my kids {LOVED} to be under my feet while I cleaned the kitchen. Especially chasing after the dirt I was trying to sweep up!
Once the dirt was collected and the sweeping done, they were well entertained!

I still have the same broom! It came with the house....who knows how old it is! :)

Parker Crawls

Finally! After weeks of him doing the 'wounded soldier crawl' the little man of the house decided to move around on all fours!

Music courtesy of Guitar Hero....gotta love all the 'spiritual' rock band music that you get to play ;)

Happy 9 Months!

Parker turned 9 months old on Friday.

Our little bug is growing right on up!

Stats:
Weight: 19 lbs. 7 oz.
Length: 29" long
(Weight going off of our little scale we have here at the house.)

Just a little about him:

*LOVES his food. Any food for that matter. We have yet to find a food so terrible he won't eat it.

*While on the topic of food: if you place food in front of him, only place what you WANT IN HIS MOUTH! He SHOVES it all in as soon as it hits the high chair tray. Then tries to swallow.

*Waves Hi

*Says two words: Dada and Tay Tay. Yes, while I was trying to 'brain wash' him into saying Mama, Taylor was always sitting next to me teaching him how to say Tay Tay. He listened to her. Doesn't he know who feeds him?!?!? :)

*Sits up, but would much rather be on the move. Totally skipped the sit in one place and play happily with toys phase. *tear* I loved that stage with Taylor. He will sit for a few minutes than flop down and roll or army crawl himself around the house.

*Mama's boy. He can be perfectly happy playing, but as soon as he sees me in another room or I walk by him without picking him up, the tears start flowing.

*Tears stop as soon as he gets what he wants....me.

*FINALLY will drink from a bottle. Up until a couple weeks ago I couldn't get him to drink out of anything...and swallow. He will suck the liquid, but then spit it out. Now he will happily drink juice or even formula! I was planning on quitting nursing at 10 months (like I did w/Taylor) and it wasn't looking very good until about a week ago.

*Loves his minky security blankets. I made sure if he were to get attached to a blanket, it was going to be little. Taylor's big blanket was a pain! A little security one I can handle. :)

*Took his first bath with out his little seat the other night. And loved it. He thought he was pretty hot stuff sliding up and down the tub.

*Has only slept through the night a hand full of times since he got sick. I am tired.

*Loves his big sister. All smiles when she walks in the room and she loves him just as much.

*Will climb over ANYTHING in his way to get to one of his sister's dolls. This makes Taylor very mad.

*Loves his walker.

*Hates getting dressed after his morning baths. He SCREAMS the entire time.

*Usually only takes one nap a day.

*Waves Hi

*Plays peek a boo with his little blanket. (SO CUTE!)

I love this little man and am VERY VERY happy we were blessed to have him join our family!

Move Your Arms Dudey!

Parker is TRYING really hard to crawl!

He has been doing the 'down dog' for a while now, but the last couple of weeks he has actually found his knees, but has yet learned to move the arms.

But he's getting better....kind of.

This little man will sit up perfect, but will only do it for a couple minutes. He doesn't want to just sit there, he would rather be rolling around after his sister or working on his crawl.

We COMPLETELY skipped the 'sit up and stay in one place' phase.
When I see him wanting to crawl, I just want to tell him to stop and stay still.
He is growing up too fast and I am not ready for him to be mobile enough to go EVERY WHERE.

Yet, him being able to follow me around the house would be alot easier since he is turning into my 'Mama's boy' and cries if he realizes I am not in the same room as him.

Happy Half Year Parker!

A few days ago our baby turned 6 months. Where has the time gone?

Parker Dude is 17.8 lbs and 27.5" long.
He still sleeps fairly well, I say fairly because I think he is teething and has a little bit of a cold so he has been a little miserable the last few weeks. ;(
He has started rolling over....it's only down hill from here! I am sooooo not ready for two mobile ones! That is why I wasn't too anxious for the rolling milestone to be reached :)

On Saturday Troy and I went to Twin and we stopped by D.I. and found this baby/toddler scale for 15 bucks! Troy was a little hesitant as to whether we should get it or not, but I WANTED IT! I love to be able to weigh my baby and see how they are growing!

The cool thing, is that the baby tray part comes off to reveal a 'mouse' face for toddlers to stand on! ;) (Taylor is almost 31 lbs...we tried it out!)

Troy just painted our 'studio' wall downstairs so we have a new white background to take pics....ones of Parker are soon to come.....hopefully!

Two Little Ones In One Tub

When Taylor was little I purchased this little bath tub seat.

I hated it.

But NOW with one toddler and Parker still needing support, I LOVE IT!
He is big enough to 'stay' in it, so it was time to bring the chair upstairs and get these two kids in the bath together. Up until now Parker would get his bath in the kitchen sink, then after he was dressed, fed and down for a nap I would then move on to getting Taylor then myself ready.

I can't believe how much time I save just by putting them in one place!

Plus it gets Taylor dressed before noon...I have been bad about getting her ready in the morning lately!

These videos are 'kind of' boring at the beginning but the last few seconds of BOTH are funny! ;)

5 Months

As all Mom's with little ones say, "Time is flying by!"
I can't believe Parker is 5 months (3 days shy) but we went to his well baby yesterday and I wanted to document his weight/height while it is still fresh in my mind!

Weight: 15 lbs 10 oz (25-50th %)
Length: 26" (50-75th %)

*He continues to sleep through the night (goes to bed between 7-7:30 wakes up around 6-6:30, eats then goes back to sleep until around 7:30) A mothers dream! Now I need to get my 2 year old to sleep better....

*LOVES to smile! But especially loves to smile at his big sister and his new favorite is himself! While I am getting ready he gets to sit on the counter in his bumbo and stare away at himself.

*Has yet to roll over, which I am actually okay with! I don't think I can deal with two moving babies yet.

*Coos and talks to you all the time, especially when I am changing his diaper (except when he's hungry, then it's just screams!)

*Loves his little minky blanket. When he is tired and fussy you can just put the blanket up to his face and he snuggles right in.

*Takes 2-3 naps during the day. One quick one early morning, a longer one (2 hours-ish) in the afternoon, and a quick cat nap around 5 (perfect for making dinner!).

*Still super easy going!

*Yes, he's been put in a dress AND has had a headband placed atop his head! But not at the same time and Troy knows about it....he is the one who told me to try the dress on!
The headband was a new style and I wanted to see how 'big' it was on a baby head and the dress was an alteration of the little dresses I have been making. The pattern goes from 12 month to 5T and I had a request for 3-6 months (Hi Lindsay!) so I had to alter the pattern and wanted to see how it turned out....he is definitely too chubby for my 6 month dresses ;)
Sorry, no pics of either!

*Drank water out of a sippy cup without a problem (I am going straight to sippy with him, no bottles this time around!)

*Troy Jr. in looks

*I think he will be keeping his blue eyes like his sister.

*Still spits up like crazy, hopefully after his Dr.s appointment yesterday and him getting an Rx for Zantac the problem will be solved! I hate that every picture we have of him a stinkin' bib is around his neck!

*Ate his first (of many!) solid foods tonight! He loved the rice cereal, which is completely opposite from his big sis Taylor!

Have I mentioned how much I love these kids?

Upside Down Tumblers

Today was Taylor's first day of her tumbling class.

She cried the whole time.

Look Who's 4 Months!

And he is NOT happy about getting older!

Okay, just kidding he was hungry and tired and didn't want his picture taken!

(I must have the camera date wrong on my camera because these pics were taken this morning <6th> not the <5th>.)
