As we all know, I am in the middle of re-doing our kitchen. I really wanted to do it now because for 1) I am sick of it and 2) Taylor is not going through the "mobile phase" like Bentley is trying to! :) I thought it would be alot easier with a child that just lays and spins circles than with a child that can crawl circles around my feet! Well yesterday was the day! Paint was going on the walls! Just on the actual kitchen part though the entrance is still waiting on some huge patches to be "smooth." I am glad I decided to cut it in half and do one side and then the other because I don't think I could stand the kitchen the way it is now with the cupboards, fridge, oven and floor covered for double the time! It was a pain just making tuna sandwiches for lunch! Well, I was up early thanks to Taylor and her "no-sleep" strike she is going through- I finished taping and covering everything just in time for Taylor's morning nap time. I fed her and she went right to sleep. Forty five minutes later she was awake and wanted more to eat. This process of every hour to hour and a half continued ALL DAY long! She wouldn't sleep for long periods of time and she would only play for about 20 minutes and then get sick of it and start screaming! Troy came home earlier than usual and he tried to help out but it made it almost worse and her tears were getting bigger and bigger. I finally ran a nice warm bath and put her in it and she played for a long time while I got a little more work done. (Troy was there to watch her, I didn't leave her there!) After her bath she went straight into her pj's and she quickly fell asleep at 7, woke up to eat at 8 and made it all the way until 12:30, then 3:30. After the 2nd round she would fall asleep for about 10 minutes then cry, then fall asleep then start babbling and so on! When she finally fell asleep she slept until 7:30! YEAH!! It's the beginning of day 2 and so far she is pretty happy...I will keep my fingers crossed and hope her little growth spurt is over!!!
