Troy called me while Taylor and I were walking the streets of Burley today (HUGE Sidewalk sale!) he tells me that JoAnn and Maren were putting together their "family lunch" thing that they do every once in a while. I told him I would be there and not 10 seconds after I hang up the phone Taylor decides she is hungry and tired. So I walk the 2 blocks to my VERY HOT Honda, load her, the stroller and my great findings in the car and go to my mom's to help her out on the hungry part. She cries until I pull into the driveway and she quickly drifts to sleep. Now I think to myself: "Wake her up and feed her now in an air conditioned house or let her sleep until we get to Grandma Wilkins' and have to cover up in an un-airconditioned hot sauna house??" I decide to wake her up! Well, once we are back on the road to go to our next destination, Taylor quietly plays in her seat until about a mile from our goal, she falls asleep, wakes up as I open the door to pull her out. So I just take her and leave the seat in the car. I literally had one tiny bite of pizza crust left to eat and JoAnn asks to hold Taylor while I finish eating. I hand over my baby and she turns on the tears and starts screaming. The water works shut off as soon as I go back and save her. About 45 minutes of playing in my lap Theron decides to try his hand at holding her. Note: this is only the 2nd time Theron has ever held her, so I wasn't about to deny this rare occasion! Of course she cries so I just decide lunch conversation time is over and leave. Taylor cries from the moment I put her in the car, all the way to our house (a whopping mile) to the door steps and down the hall to her room. She has worked herself up so much that she is just pouring with sweat that I strip her down to her diaper (her still crying) BUT the moment I lay her in her crib, give her the pacifier and her blanket-there is silence! She was so tired! I like getting together with the family for lunch once in awhile but I don't know if it is worth it because it is right in the middle of her much needed nap time and all she does is cry and/or won't let anyone but me hold her (even Troy tried!) So I might have to pass on free lunches until she is old enough to handle it!
