Family Time

**WARNING! LOTS AND LOTS OF PICTURES!**

Friday after I got home from all my shopping, I took a quick (really quick, like 30 minutes!) nap then Troy headed out to go on a hike and take some pictures.

He enjoyed it so much that Saturday morning he asked me if I would go on a hike with him. When explained that if we find a sitter for the kids I could only be gone about 3 hours then I had to return to feed little Dudey. With that we decided to just take the kids with us.

But we didn't hike.

We went to the same area that he went to, but we just drove to a spot.
On the way there, we stopped at store and bought some hot dogs, chips, drinks and stuff to make s'mores.

The kids fell asleep on the drive out there so they stayed in the warm pick up while we (okay, Troy) gathered wood and started a fire.....

Then we got the kids out and started lunch:

(notice the log that Troy was cutting in the previous picture?!?!? He gave up!)

Taylor wasn't a fan of the whole s'moreS thing, but she loved the cookies.

We threw rocks into the lake....

Taylor would throw a rock into the lake then turn around so proud of herself, yelling "YES!" and jumping for joy!

Ran around the sandy 'beach' then played in the cattails.

OOOPPSS!

Some random pics....

I love this series of pics...

Lastly, Troy and Taylor both found some holes to sit in and play for awhile.

Then it was time to pack up and head on home.
Totally made my day! I love my little family! :)

That looked like a fun family outing...cold....but fun. Also you take really great pictures. My favorite picture is the one of Troy and Taylor sitting in the hole.

Wow that seriously looks like a blast! A nice warm fire to roast hot dogs sounds so good right now. Troy and Taylor always look like they are having so much fun together! What a great dad. You are a tropper taking both kids! You’re awesome!

Hey! Some times the most simple outings turn out to be the best. We need to plan a visit real soon. I want the kids to know each other. I like parkers hat. Wyatt has it too. Great minds think alike.
