Tonsillectomy

I am hoping this will be the last sore throat Taylor has to endure.

After many (MANY) cases of strep throat we took her to an ENT and was advised to get her tonsils and adenoids out.
The date was set back in February. March 23rd. The Friday before spring break. I may have ruined her spring break, but I didn't want her to miss any more school than she had too and I didn't want to go through the recovery in the summer time.

They took her back to surgery and returned her to us within 35 minutes! Everything went well.

Post surgery-

When she first come out of anesthesia she was freaking out a lot. They gave her some Demerol to help relax her and it did the trick. She was pretty calm and sleepy the remainder of the time. We left for Twin @ 5:45 am and were back to our home by 11:00.

Waiting to go home-

Parker got to spend the night at Grandma's (My Mom's) and hang out with her and Grandpa. Paige was such a good little baby. I basically pulled her out of bed and put her in the carseat at 5:30 am and she slept until 8:00. Ate and played for a little while then went back to sleep until we got home! Good little girl :)

Taylor slept through the night last night, but is having a rough day today. She barely wants to eat or drink. (As expected)

Only a few more days to get over the hump and turn the corner.....

Little Man

This kid.
He makes me laugh. All the time. Yet he manages to drive me absolutely crazy at the same time.

I was going through some pictures on the CF card and came across these. We had just brought home some new kitties (I believe we brought home 4 and we currently only have 1 of those 4 still around!) Nothing screams "quite the character" than a nice hot pink headband!

Parker is constantly dressing up and saying the funniest things.

One night Troy and I were cleaning up dinner and Parker was still playing/hanging out at the kitchen table. He lets out a nice big toot. Instead of the "Excuse me" that should have been said Parker says, "Dad!"
He gets it from his Dad. :)

(They are watching the crop duster spray the potatoes in the field....)

He went through a phase where all he wanted was "Rapunzel hair." Here was his way of getting the long hair. Usually it was this left over piece of minkee he found in my sewing room garbage, but a scarf would do just as good....

Even though he has turned into ALL BOY (TROY) we still love him so much!
Because really, how could you not love this little face?? Messy with food and all!

Oh, and he also likes to run around in the nude. And thinks it's super funny....

{Anticipation}

All the warm days we had last week made me excited for summer.

Mostly because I can't wait to pull the boat out and hit the Snake. Last year was fun going out on the river, but being preggo put a little bit of a downer on owning a boat.

{Picture taken last spring right after we bought the boat....}

BUT the lovely Idaho weather made my anticipation even worse teasing me and turning to cold, rainy/snowy weather again.

Come on summer!

{Happy St. Patrick's Day 2012}

My kids are sporting their green shirts today to avoid the pinches.

For lunch, everything I made some how 'magically' turned green.
Taylor walked in saw the green biscuits on the counter and the green mac & cheese I was mixing up and freaked out!

She was crying so much Troy had to tell her that is was just green food coloring. She was 'okay' with it after that, but wasn't too impressed.

Parker could have cared less....

{Smothered}

{Valentines 2012}

Poor little Paige, she is always getting smothered by these two stinkers.

Good thing she likes their attention and isn't a too over stimulated baby or we would be having some serious issues! ;)

There have been many fights and bickers between the two older kids over who gets to talk to Paige and LOTS of tears because Paige is looking at the other one (Mostly Taylor freaking out that Paige looks at Parker).

I guess it's better that they love her TOO much instead of not loving her at all! :)

Sorry Troy

I just had to post these!
Going through pictures (and making ooodles of posts!) I forgot I had taken these one night.

From the mouth of Troy: " Business in front. Party in back."

HAHHAHAHAH

Minus 2

On Feb. 9th Taylor let me pull out her second baby tooth.

I can not believe she is old enough to be losing teeth!
She is (as expected) a little drama queen over the whole ordeal, but she sure is excited to wake up to find the tooth fairy had made a visit!

I am a little sad how her 'losing teeth' happens. She doesn't have the typical 'gap' that you would expect. Instead her other tooth grows in BEHIND her baby tooth (kind of creepy for a while!) then moves forward to a normal position once her baby tooth is out.

Looks like she never lost a tooth. I always want to sing the "All I want for Christmas" in a toothless lisp to her, but it's just silly when she never really has that issue...... :)
