Melissa and I canned peaches today.
After we were done I decided my house isn't the place to do the canning. I have WAY TOO MUCH of an OCD problem that I was stressed the whole time over the mess! :)
We are doing applesauce on Saturday....we moved it from my house to Melissa's.

Applesauce is way messier than peaches. Good idea! ;-) It's nice having two, then one can clean up while the other stirs, then take turns, then get the next step set up, etc.
I remember when you did this last year!!
I really, really want to learn how to can peaches, applesauce, anything really. I'm so jealous that you know how and have someone to do it with.
OK, so I believe you and I have a similar OCD problem. I totally want to can and its wonderful for food storage and everybody's going nuts over it right now because the end of the world is close but I just don't think I can handle the mess! Way to just grit your teeth and bare it!
That's why I love my strawberry freezer jam!! I can have it done and over with little to no mess in less than an hour and I feel like I have really done something cool with no mess!!!!!!!!!!!! This year I made it at mom's for her and then again when I got home. Kody has some the other night on my home made (frozen) bread and he loved it!!!!!
SO awesome!!!! You know... you should send me some!!! I'm far away and need some comfort food! ;-) You are too funny about not doing it in your house! I love you Peasha!
