Little Stinker

Taylor has gotten into a TERRIBLE habit of not eating dinner and then an hour later want something to eat (candy, cookies, chocolate...anything that is NOT what we ate for dinner) One night she refused to eat and wanted to get down from the table.

I informed her that she will go straight to bed. She said okay. So she went to bed at 7:15 (after a half hour of fighting with her to eat!)
She slept all night without a peep.
Not so much any more. Now she wakes up around 3 wanting food. She usually gets a piece of bread, potty break then scoot her back to her room.

Last night, I heard her open her bedroom door. Walk into our room, then turn around and leave.

A few minutes later I hear Parker awake and crying (so not like him because he sleeps all night EVERY night!) As I walked into his room I see a figure sitting on the chair in his room! Taylor scared me HALF TO DEATH!

It was like in the movies when they walk into their dark house to find a stranger sitting there waiting for them.

She is a smart little Stinker! She knew that since I ignored her when she first got up, I will come and rescue little Dude if he is awake. She had climbed up the side of his crib, grabbed his little arm and completely spun him in a circle to where his head was now at the bottom of the bed. Then took a seat and waited for me to come.

I am going to start dead bolting her door shut.

Oh my goodness, she is too smart for her own good! I can relate to the food thing, Kaitlyn could live off of snacks if I let her. I'm sure it will get better...

Smart little stinker! I would die if I saw somebody sitting in the corner of my baby's dark room.

I've totally considered the deadbolt thing myself. Does it sound way mean and inhumane?

Wow, that is really a funny story. But, I can laugh now because I don’t have kids yet. You can laugh at me when I have these crazy stories to tell and I was up half the night too. She really is a cutie though!

I still think you should get a gate like Ash's. She shuts the gate in the door way but leaves the door open so he can see out but he can't get out! And the gates now are so nice it opens like a door!

Wow, kids are so smart when they want to be. I would freak out if I saw a figure in my childs room that I wasn't expecting to see.

It's a funny story but I can see how someone could have easily gotten spooked. I would have given a good scream and scared her.
