First Time For Everything....

When our dear sweet Taylor Jane turned two and started the potty training process I found myself thankful that I hadn't (yet) had to walk into her room to this...

I wasn't so lucky tonight!

I actually had just gotten done reading my scriptures, brushed my teeth, washed my face and was heading to bed to watch C.S.I.
I usually have Troy check on Taylor right before he comes to bed, but he was reffing some ball games tonight and I decided to just check on her since I was up and about anyway. :)

I walk into her room and INSTANTLY see 'stuff' all over her bedspread that is shoved clear down to the bottom of her bed with her all curled at the top of her bed. I turn on the hall light and lean in for a good look...

Yep, sure enough-she had pooped and found it 'FUN' to pull it out of her pull-up! Gross! Shortly after laying her down for the night I heard her laughing and playing in her bed, but this is not unusual.

Now I know why she was laughing.
She thought it was hilarious to pull out all the poop and then smear it on her bed!

She was pretty nice (yea right!) and kept most of the poop on the comforter so I was just able to roll it up and get it out of her room. She actually slept the entire time I was scrubbing down her head board and then barely woke up when I was undressing her, wiping her belly (and bum) down and getting her redressed.

But the entire time I am cleaning up her room just stinks like crazy! After all was clean and in fresh clothes I went to wipe her hands down and the poop will NOT COME OFF! No wonder it stunk so bad....it was caked on her little fingers, bad!

I have to take her into the bathroom and scrub her hands! THEN I had to cut her nails to get it all! What a mess!

And to think I thought I would be so lucky to not have to ever do that!

The safety pin is now back in place to keep the zipper to her jammies UP!

oh Alisha that does not sound fun at all. Some times in those situations you wish you could call in the mother to clean it up. Oh wait we are the moms now! Yuck! What little kids find fun sometimes is questionable. Glad its all cleaned up sorry for your long night. Hope it doesnt happen again.

YUCK. I can totally relate, that happened to me about six months ago. Terrible! But, I promise in a year you will look back and laugh about it!

Sounds like something every pregnant mother would love to do! J/K Luckily Maddie never did that one to me, but I've still got Garen! :(

Oh no! Please tell me that's something I DON'T have to look forward to?!!!! Oh dear. K, note to self, potty train, then get pregnant so I won't end up cleaning up my puke and poop! I agree with Sarah, it's times like those we want to call in the mom to clean up the mess. That is a funny story though! One that, for those of us that haven't been there, hope that it will never happen! So, that's a great idea about the safety pin idea, I'm SO going to do that!!!!
