Playing Outside
Yesterday afternoon I could tell Taylor was getting a little tired of being cooped up inside. The weather was nice enough outside I decided to take her out to play. She loved it! So much that she was so dirty from crawling around in the dirt we came straight in and took a bath! The last picture shows a close up of the combination of "runny nose + dirt". Since I was outside just sitting there I started pulling some weeds in the flower beds. Doing this REALLY made me excited about planting flowers and shrubs! I would really love to have an umbrella tree in the flower bed underneath Troy and I's bedroom window, but Troy veto'd that idea. I want some "height" there but I DON'T want a arborvitae (we pulled one out of the exact spot I want to plant something else) I don't know what to get so any ideas would be GREAT! I get so excited about the flowers that when I was looking today (just at wally world) it's really going to add up $$$$$. Especially since I have two flower beds for sure to fill not including the entire east side of the house and the one in the back corner (the corner we "turn" to park our cars). That puts a down on the whole thing but I can't wait to get some life, other than the sparse grass and WEEDS GALORE that is now occupying the yard.
I also learned I have a "nanny" for when I am outside with Taylor. Taylor kept wanting to crawl towards the front rock berm that I was constantly chasing her. One time after retrieving her I noticed Takoda just chillin' on the drive way. I called her over to me and (knowing she wouldn't understand!)said "watch Taylor". She layed down on the edge of the circle driveway and every time Taylor would start crawling that way Takoda would start going towards her making her turn and come back towards me. I have always wanted a dog that would do that! It may have been a one time thing but it was nice! Now we need to get Takoda to stop "racing" cars so Taylor won't want to follow!
