My church calling is the Primary Secretary. Which I absolutely LOVE! I like the fact that I am not "tied" down and can leave the room if I need to with Taylor. There is one thing that I absolutely don't like! (Horrible to admit I know!) One of my responsibilities is to find the talk and scripture/prayer for closing exercises every Sunday. It wasn't so bad when I was first called to the position but now 6 months later I hate having to remember to call people and ask them to help me out every week. I have talked with the other members of the Presidency and they said that calling every week was easier than sending a note home (their not the ones having to remember to call!!) with the kid the Sunday before praying they remember to give it to their parents. I am trying to think of some other way to assign these kids to help me out without losing my mind of calling or showing up on Sunday to find out the assigned person forgot or is out of town with no call to me!! I thought about making a calendar for the month with each Sunday assigned and give them to the PARENTS (making it their responsibility to trade weeks if it doesn't work out) and having a "reminder" put in the bulletin each Sunday to check the calendar if they received one for the month. I don't know how well that will work though!?!?!?
Does anyone have suggestions of how their ward did this process or know of a ward that had a good system? HELP ME PLEASE!

I remember in my parents ward that they would just put the list for like the next 4 weeks in the ward bulletin. That seemed to work out alright.
