To start off...Happy Thanksgiving a day late to those I did not see yesterday. It was a very quiet relaxing day yesterday. Our small little family joined the other small families out at Troy's sister Maria's home. Taylor was the only "baby" there. The next in line was Tameka. So when Taylor wasn't crying (not too often) the only noise you would hear is adult conversations. Kind of unusual. We left the festivities around 3:00 for two main reasons. 1) Way past Taylor's nap time. I tried laying her down in the crib there, but she didn't want to fall asleep. She did however fall asleep so fast in the car that it was ridiculous! 2) Troy wasn't feeling too hot. He was a little nauseous earlier, but it would come and go. Well, from the time we got home until about 10:30 when I ended up dragging him into the E.R. he was throwing up (and other things haha). If it was any one else I would just offer some thera-flu and assume it was just a bug and they will feel better in the morning. But with Troy's "condition" it worries me because he can't keep anything down and that means he can't take medication. He keeps telling me how thirsty he is but knows he isn't able to keep it down. So finally he agrees to go to the hospital. I call up Jana to come sit with Taylor while we run in. Praying the whole way there he won't get admitted. My parents meet us there to give Troy a blessing then my Mom sits with me the whole time we are waiting...what would we do without loving parents??? After two and a half hours, 3 tests, 2 temperature takes later (101.6 then 102!) we leave with the knowledge that nothing is wrong with his Addison's and it's just a good case of the flu (which we knew already). They did give him a shot for the nausea right before we left and we both still wonder why they didn't give it to him when we first arrived. He is still pretty weak and achey (even considered going to work with Wep when he first woke up) but I think he will live. I skipped out on the lovely after Thanksgiving shopping because I woke up a little sick and couldn't do it! WOW miss out on some major sales??? We were quite the team for Taylor today! I am feeling good now, nothing a hot bath and some thera-flu couldn't help! Again, the Wilkins' crew keeps the hospitals busy and running. :(
